Deep and dynamic pressure with a flexible construction

Protac Ball Blanket® Flexible uses movable 50 mm balls to provide varying tactile and proprioceptive stimulation that promotes body awareness and helps create a sense of calm.

The balls can move within their compartments as the person moves or changes position. This creates dynamic sensory stimulation rather than simply applying a fixed weight to the body.

The Flexible model is particularly suitable for people who seek varying sensory input and for those who have difficulty perceiving their own body or keeping it physically at rest.

The versions normally available from HANDYCAT have a 100% cotton cover. For facilities or environments with specific fire-safety requirements, we can also supply versions made with flame-retardant Trevira CS fabric. Please contact us for availability and configurations.

Flexible design

The Ball Blanket® Flexible is made with four removable ball bags housed inside the outer cover. Each contains 50 mm EVA balls that are free to move within their compartments and follow changes in the user's body position.

This modular construction makes the blanket easier to handle and, especially, to wash: the ball bags can be removed from the cover and the different parts washed separately.

All Protac Ball Blanket® Flexible models can be washed at 60 °C. Protac specifies a washing machine with a minimum capacity of 7 kg. The cover and ball bags must be washed separately; the ball bags should be placed in the supplied washing bag and spun at low speed.
