Uniform and predictable stimulation to help find calm

The Ball Blanket® Calm provides deep and dynamic pressure through 38 mm balls arranged in channels, creating uniform, moderate and predictable tactile and proprioceptive stimulation.

The arrangement of the balls allows the blanket to wrap closely around the body while maintaining a more clearly defined distribution of sensory input. This promotes body awareness and can help the user settle and find calm.

Calm is particularly suitable for people who need predictable and clearly defined sensory input and for those with tactile defensiveness, high sensory sensitivity or a tendency to become easily overstimulated.

The versions normally available from HANDYCAT have a 100% cotton cover. For facilities or environments with specific fire-safety requirements, we can also supply versions made with flame-retardant Trevira CS fabric. Please contact us for availability and configurations.

Calm design

The Ball Blanket® Calm is made with 38 mm EVA balls sewn into longitudinal channels. This keeps the balls distributed along the blanket and allows it to follow the contours of the body, providing clearly defined and predictable sensory stimulation.

The Adult blanket can be divided by zippers into three sections, making it easier to handle and wash. The Junior version can be divided into two sections. A section can also be used separately when a smaller blanket is useful, for example for resting during the day.

The blanket can be washed at 60 °C. Each section is washed separately in a washing machine with a minimum capacity of 7 kg, using the supplied washing bag and spinning at low speed.
