The Ball Blanket® Classic uses movable balls to provide varying tactile and proprioceptive stimulation that promotes body awareness and helps create a sense of calm.

The balls are distributed in compartments and can move within them as the user changes position. This creates dynamic sensory stimulation, rather than simply applying a fixed weight to the body.

The Classic is particularly suitable for people who seek sensory input and for those who have difficulty perceiving their own body or remaining physically at rest.

The versions normally available have a 100% cotton cover. For facilities or environments with specific fire-safety requirements, we can also supply versions made with flame-retardant Trevira CS fabric. Please contact us for availability and configurations.

Classic design

The Ball Blanket® Classic is made with compartments containing EVA balls that are free to move within their space. As the person moves or changes position, the balls also move, creating varying tactile and proprioceptive stimuli on different parts of the body.

The ball compartments are an integral part of the blanket and are not removable, so the blanket always remains complete and ready for use.

The blanket can be washed at 60 °C. Protac specifies a washing machine with a minimum capacity of 16 kg.

The Ball Blanket® Classic is a Class I CE-marked medical device in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/745 on medical devices.
