Music doesn't end at your ears. Feel it through your whole body.
We usually think of music as something we hear. But sound can also become a physical experience. The wide-spectrum vibroacoustic platform transforms the audio signal into vibrations transmitted through its surface, adding a new bodily dimension to music, rhythm, voices and other sounds.
And this is where the difference matters. Conventional vibration systems tend to concentrate primarily on the physical impact of bass frequencies. Our platform works across an exceptionally broad sound spectrum, from 15 Hz to 17 kHz, allowing much more of the original audio signal to become part of the vibroacoustic experience.
So this is about much more than feeling the bass. It is another way to discover and experience sound: through the body as well as through hearing.
Your body, your position, your experience
There is no prescribed way to use the platform. Each person can find the position and type of contact that works best for them.
It can be used:
- lying directly on the platform or on a mat;
- sitting on its surface;
- sitting on a chair or soft seat placed on the platform;
- standing;
- while moving, exploring or interacting with the environment.
This freedom makes it particularly versatile in multisensory spaces and for sensory, educational, therapeutic, relaxation and wellbeing activities.
Several sizes are available, making it possible to choose the surface best suited to the space, intended activity and users.
Much more than bass
The vibroacoustic system has been selected to transmit an unusually broad range of the audio signal rather than concentrating exclusively on low-frequency vibration.
Main specifications:
- Nominal transduction frequency range: 15 Hz–17 kHz.
- Passive vibroacoustic system.
- External amplification required.
- Recommended amplification: 100–125 W at 4 ohms per channel.
- Integrated overload protection.
- Robust plywood construction with protective varnished finish.
- Several sizes available.
* The 180 × 180 cm version requires two independent amplification channels.
What audio equipment do I need?
The platform is a passive device, which means that it does not contain its own amplifier.
A phone, tablet, computer, television, music player or streamer can provide the audio source, but a suitable external amplifier is required between the source and the platform.
The amplifier must:
- be compatible with a 4-ohm load;
- provide approximately 100–125 W per channel at 4 ohms;
- have a suitable amplified speaker output;
- be capable of reproducing a broad frequency range without restricting the platform to bass frequencies only.
Having speaker outputs does not, by itself, guarantee that a hi-fi or mini system is suitable for driving the platform.
Already have an audio system? Tell us the make and model of your amplifier and we can help you check its compatibility before connecting the platform.
If you need a complete system, we can also recommend suitable amplification and audio equipment according to the platform, the installation and the way you intend to use it.
