Light, colour and touch

A bundle of 100 optical fibre tails, 2 metres long creates a visual and tactile resource that can be watched, touched, held, separated and grouped, gently laid over the body, used to surround the user or moved to draw shapes of light in the air.

The fibres are made of PMMA, without glass fibre, and are designed to emit light laterally along their length. Each of the 100 flexible tails contains three optical filaments protected by a transparent sheath, producing visible points of light along the bundle.

Only light travels through the fibres: there is no electricity and heat from the light source is not transmitted through them. Illumination is provided by a 16 W RGBW LED source located at the end of the bundle.

Plug in and enjoy

The set is complete and autonomous: it does not require any other device or control system to operate.

Simply connect it to the power supply. When switched on, the source automatically starts a slow, cyclic colour sequence with smooth transitions, which is transmitted through the fibres.

This allows it to be used immediately as an active sensory resource, without configuration or additional equipment.

And with SENTS, interactive too

The light source comes with SENTS compatibility as standard. If you have the SENTS control system, the professional can take control from the tablet: switch the fibres on or off and select at any time the colour they want them to display.

But SENTS goes beyond remote control. The fibres can become part of interactive activities adapted to each person's abilities.

For example, we can start by displaying a single coloured area on the tablet. When the user touches it, the fibres change to that colour, creating a very simple and easily identifiable cause-and-effect relationship.

When appropriate, we can present several colours simultaneously so that the user can choose how they want the fibres to light up.

At each person's own pace

SENTS does not impose a response time.

Once the fibres have adopted a colour, they remain in that state until the professional or user voluntarily triggers a new action. The system does not restart the automatic sequence by itself simply because a few seconds or minutes have passed.

This allows interaction to take place without rushing, respecting the time each person needs to perceive, understand, decide and act.

The complexity of the activity can be adapted to the user, while the professional retains control of the session at all times.

The fibres operate perfectly without the SENTS control system. SENTS is an additional option that allows them to be controlled and, whenever desired, turned into an interactive resource.
