SENTS Essential · Control system for sensory spaces

Centralises the control of the resources in a sensory space from a touchscreen tablet, without depending on an Internet connection or cloud services.

SENTS Essential is the initial configuration of the SENTS control system, developed by HANDYCAT for sensory spaces, multisensory rooms and environments for relaxation or emotional regulation. Its intuitive interface makes it easy to control the room’s resources and adapt the environment immediately as the activity progresses.

Using the two included plug-in receivers, any equipment connected to the mains can be switched on and off. Resources equipped with compatible SENTS modules can also provide additional functions, such as colour selection and light intensity adjustment.

The set includes

• 1 touchscreen tablet under 10 inches, configured for SENTS
• 1 dedicated router for the SENTS local network
• 2 preconfigured SENTS plug-in receivers for switching electrical equipment on and off
• 1 SENTS control application, developed by HANDYCAT and pre-installed on the tablet

Direct control of each resource

SENTS does not replace the decisions of the person conducting the session. It provides direct and immediate control of the resources, allowing the sensory environment to be adapted at any time to the activity, the person’s preferences or the objectives of the session.

From the tablet, you can:

• Switch connected electrical equipment on and off
• Identify and control each resource individually
• Select colours and adjust the intensity of compatible lighting resources
• Activate colour sequences on compatible resources
• Modify the sensory environment as the session progresses

Direct interaction with the environment

In addition to the usual control of resources, SENTS provides an interaction mode with a simplified interface that allows the person to participate directly in the sensory activity.

Using large, easily identifiable touch areas, the person can trigger immediate responses from compatible resources, such as selecting the colour of a sensory element. In this way, the same tablet used by the professional to control the space can become a simple and accessible interaction resource.

Local operation without Internet

SENTS operates through its own dedicated local network. It requires neither an Internet connection nor cloud services, and its wireless communication makes installation easy in both new sensory spaces and existing rooms.

The receivers are supplied preconfigured for the SENTS network. The client completes their configuration in the application by assigning a name to each receiver and identifying the equipment it controls.

A modular and expandable system

SENTS Essential is the initial configuration of a system designed to grow with the sensory space. Additional plug-in receivers, SENTS modules integrated into HANDYCAT resources, controllers compatible with RGB lighting and accessible interaction devices can be added according to requirements.
