Shape it around the person

Protac SensCircle® is difficult to define as simply a cushion, because its greatest strength is precisely that it does not have one fixed shape.

Its nine articulated sections create a flexible, shapeable sensory support measuring 250 cm long. It can surround the body, provide support while lying down, be shaped around a seated person, support different parts of the body or even become an informal seat.

Change its shape and you change the way the body comes into contact with it.

Deep pressure and changing sensory input

Inside the SensCircle®, 50 mm EVA balls and softer polypropylene granulate provide tactile and proprioceptive stimulation through deep and dynamic pressure.

As the person moves or changes position, the filling moves too. Contact, pressure and sensory input therefore vary continuously, helping the person perceive and define their body and immediate personal space.

Its enveloping shape can also create a more sheltered space for rest, relaxation and sensory regulation.

One support, many possibilities

Its articulated construction allows SensCircle® to be used in very different ways:

• surrounding the body while lying down;
• providing support for positioning and rest;
• shaped around the body while sitting;
• configured as an informal sensory seat;
• supporting particular parts of the body;
• creating a more clearly defined personal space;
• as part of sensory and proprioceptive activities;
• in motor-skills circuits;
• for activities involving balance and coordination;
• for prone activities involving upper-body and neck control.

There is therefore no single correct way to use SensCircle®. Its shape can be adapted to the person, the activity and the sensory experience being sought.

It is suitable for children and adults and can be used in educational, therapeutic, sensory, residential and wellbeing environments.

Flexible inside and out

SensCircle® combines softer sections filled with polypropylene granulate with a module containing 50 mm EVA balls.

The internal modules can be rearranged, making it possible to alter the composition of the SensCircle® if a different distribution is desired.

Cleaning and maintenance

Both the outer cover and the covers of the individual internal modules can be washed at 40 °C.

The outer cover can be washed in a washing machine with a minimum capacity of 7 kg. The internal modules can be washed individually, using the supplied washing bags, in a machine with a minimum capacity of 16 kg.

The covers can also be wiped with a damp cloth or disinfected according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Avoid stain removers and detergents containing bleach or perfume.
