Dynamic sensory stimulation while sitting

The Ball Cushion® uses movable 38 mm EVA balls to provide deep and dynamic tactile and proprioceptive stimulation while sitting, promoting body awareness and a more active sitting position.

As the user moves on the cushion, the balls roll and create changing pressure points. The body responds with small postural adjustments that encourage a dynamic and more upright sitting position.

This sensory input can be particularly useful for people with motor restlessness or difficulties remaining seated and concentrating during activities. The cushion can be used at school, at work, during meals or in other activities performed while sitting.

All versions offered by HANDYCAT contain 38 mm EVA balls and are made from flame-retardant 100% polyester Oxford fabric.

Ball Cushion® design

The underside is non-slip and the cushion is secured to the chair to keep it correctly positioned during use.

The versions for chairs and stools are secured by four straps attached to the chair legs. The office-chair version uses a buckle fastening under the seat, making it suitable for chairs with a central base where the standard four-strap attachment cannot be used.

The cushion can be washed at 40 °C in a washing machine with a minimum capacity of 6 kg. It should be placed in the supplied washing bag and spun at low speed. Protac recommends detergent without bleach or perfume and advises against using stain remover.
