The Panasonic PT-TMZ400 has been selected for this type of installation because its short-throw optics allow a very large image to be produced while placing the projector exceptionally close to the wall.

An 80-inch image requires only about 73 cm of projection distance, and the projector can produce images of up to 105 inches.

This makes it possible to create a large visual surface even in rooms where space is limited.

Closer to the wall, fewer unwanted shadows

In a calming or sensory room, users should be able to move naturally without having to remain behind a conventional projector.

By positioning the projector very close to the projection surface, the area in which a person can intercept the light beam is greatly reduced.

This is particularly useful in protected or padded rooms and in environments for mental health, behavioural support, disability and other settings where freedom of movement is important.

Image and sound as part of the environment

Projection does not have to demand attention.

Slow-moving landscapes, natural environments, water, skies, abstract light or other carefully selected content can become part of the atmosphere of the room and accompany periods of rest, relaxation or sensory regulation.

Designed for professional installations

The PT-TMZ400 combines a 4,000 lm laser light source with WUXGA 1920 × 1200 resolution and 3LCD technology.

Its laser light source avoids periodic lamp replacement and provides up to 20,000 hours of operation in Normal/Quiet modes and up to 24,000 hours in Eco mode.

Of particular interest in quiet environments, Quiet mode reduces operating noise to approximately 24 dB.

The projector also supports free 360° installation and includes geometric adjustment functions that facilitate integration into different room configurations.
