Immersive interactive environments help people feel present within the projected scene. This can be achieved by incorporating their live image into an activity, bringing the projection to the ceiling or combining projected images with light and sound throughout a space.
An experience does not need to cover the whole room to be immersive. What matters is the sense of presence, involvement and connection that it creates.
Different ways to experience immersion
Incorporating the user's image: the person sees themselves within the projected scene and can interact with its elements through movement. Ceiling projection: brings the experience into the visual field of people who need to remain in bed or reclined. Room environments: combine projection, interactive light, sound and control to create a coordinated multisensory space.
These systems can encourage attention, self-expression, movement, communication and shared participation while also offering calming or stimulating experiences.
