Light, movement and a strong visual focus
Bubble columns are one of the most recognisable resources in a multisensory space. The continuous movement of the bubbles, the changing light and the water create an attractive visual focus that can encourage observation, attention and relaxed interaction.
They can be used in sensory rooms, educational environments, care settings and therapeutic spaces, either as a central element or as part of a broader combination of light, sound, tactile and interactive resources.
Choosing the right bubble column
When choosing a bubble column, it is worth considering aspects such as:
- The most appropriate height for the space and its users.
- Its visual presence and the place it will occupy in the room.
- Lighting and colour possibilities.
- Stability and suitable fixing.
- Ease of maintenance and cleaning.
- Compatibility with control systems or interactive accessories, when applicable.
At HANDYCAT we select equipment intended for professional and intensive use and can help you choose the most appropriate configuration according to the users, the available space and the way the column will be used.
Installation, maintenance and safety
Correct installation is particularly important with taller columns or in environments used by children, people with reduced mobility or users who may interact physically with the equipment.
For their operation, we recommend using deionised water. This helps reduce deposits and scale, makes cleaning and maintenance easier and contributes to extending the service life of the bubble column.
If required, HANDYCAT can advise you on the most suitable place to install the column, its fixing and maintenance, and its integration into the multisensory space.
